PAF 74th CAE course (Permanent Commission)

Requirements:

Age: 16 to 22 years on 16 April 2009.

Nationality: Male/Female citizens of Pakistan.

Marital status: Unmarried.

Height (male): Minimum 5 feet 4 inches.

Height (female): Minimum 5 feet 2 inches (CAE only).


Registration dates:-
Starts from 1st August 2008 to 9th August 2008.

Educational Qualification:

A candidate must have passed matric 1st division and FSc with minimum 60% marks in aggregate in any of the following:-

*Matric 1st division and FSc (Pre-engineering) with chemistry.

* A`level with Physics, Chemistry and Maths.
* O`level in five subjects (With A level)

Note:-
FSc (part II) appearing candidates can also apply provided they submit a hope certificate from the head of institution that they are likely to pass FSc exam with minimum 60% (for CAE) and 50% marks (For AD/A&SD) in aggregate. Moreover, appearing candidates for CAE and AD/A&SD must have passed their FSc part I exam with 60% and 50% marks respectively.

Foreign students:- Candidates who have passed their A Level / Senior School exam from any foreign academic intitution will have to provide Equivalence certificate at the time of registration.

Required documents:
- Please visit Information and Selection centers alongwith all original educational certificates, 2 passport size attested photos, photocopy of Computerized National Identity Card or Form "B". Brochures are available for Rs. 100 each from I&SC centers.


Selection procedure:


* Registration at all PAF information and Selection centers (I&SC) .

* Intelligence test followed by academic test in the following subjects will be conducted through e-testing:-

Aeronautical engineer: English, maths and Physics.

Admin & Special Duties: English and Physics only.

Air Defence: English and Physics only.

Information Technology: Subject test

Logistics / Legal : General knowledge & English.

A&SD (Civil Engg) : General knowledge & English.

* Preliminary Medical examination and interview at all PAF information and selection centers.

* Tests/Interviews by ISSB Kohat/Gujranwala/Malir.

* Final medical examination by CMB at PAF Masroor Karachi.

* Final selection by Air Headquarters in order of merit.

Training Period:- 4 years course (2 years as aviation cadet and 2 years as Pilot Officer) at PAF academy, Risalpur (College of Aeronautical Eningeering) for BSc Engineering degree from National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST). On successful completion of training at CAE, cadets will be commissioned in the Engineering branch of PAF.
